Once a person is assessed by the medical institution in the period of 24 hours, if determined to not need treatment, you go home. Conversely, if it is determined that it should remain hospitalized, is given to the person requesting an initial certification. This certification must be carried to the Court that issued the Temporary Detention Order 24 hours to then apply this to issue a new order called the Order of Involuntary Admission to the person needing mental health services remain hospitalized for a period of up to 15 days . When necessary, may request the extension of hospitalization, and not exceeding the term of fifteen (15) additional days. This will require a second certification.
